Dr. Aprajita Nakra, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Aprajita Nakra is board certified in reconstructive ankle and foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She successfully finished a surgical residency program at Emory Hospital in Atlanta and began practicing podiatric ankle and foot medicine and surgery in Arizona in 2000.
In 2004, Dr. Nakra founded Advanced Ankle and Foot specializing in Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Medicine and Surgery located in Gilbert, AZ. Besides private practice, Dr. Nakra has authored chapters in ankle and foot surgery text books and in medical journals. She has also been listed in the Phoenix’s Best Docs List and more recently, was named as an editor of “McGlamry’s Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery, 4th edition.” Most recently, Dr. Nakra was selected as the newest Residency Director of St. Johns Episcopal Hospital New York – AZ Division.
Dr. Nakra’s medical philosophy is to help individuals regain mobility, reduce pain, and have a good quality of life. To foster this philosophy Dr. Nakra lectures at national and international medical conferences on non-surgical and surgical ankle and foot topics. She is also involved in clinical and scientific research studies. In addition, Dr. Nakra continues to utilize her surgical skills by taking part in medical missions to Central, South America and Africa as well as Southeast Asia since 1997.
Dr. Nakra’s commitment to podiatric ankle and foot medicine and surgery is seen by her involvement in all aspects of medicine. As such, she was elected and has served as the President of the Arizona Podiatric Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Nakra sits on the Medical Executive Committees of various local hospitals and surgery centers and is a faculty member at the surgical residency program at Maricopa Medical Center, Midwestern University Arizona School of Podiatric medicine and internationally renowned “The Podiatry Institute”
Most recently, Dr. Nakra was the recipient of the Best Preceptor Award from Midwestern College of Podiatric Medicine-Class of 2014.
Always an innovator and trailblazer in medicine, Dr. Nakra just participated in the first Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), assisting fellow “redditors” with general questions about medicine and her accomplishments in foot and ankle medicine. http://redd.it/2jgrzk

Dr. Vu T. Nguyen DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Vu T. Nguyen is board certified in reconstructive ankle and foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Nguyen has comprehensive training in all facets of ankle and foot care (non-surgical and surgical), and has particular interest in foot and ankle trauma, reconstructions of foot and ankle deformities, and wound care. In addition to private practice, Dr. Nguyen is investing in the next generation of physicians and as such lectures to medical residents at local hospitals.
➤Dr. Nguyen is a graduate of California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University where he received his Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Nguyen relocated to Phoenix where he successfully completed a three year surgical training in ankle and foot surgery which included a one year internship in General Surgery at Maricopa Medical Center..
Dr. Nguyen is married with four beautiful children. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Nguyen likes to spend time with his family going on road trips, hiking, and fishing.
Dr. Bruce W. Krell, DPM, DABPS
Dr. Krell was born in Ohio and raised in Arizona. He attended Kachina Grade School and Arcadia High School. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Microbiology and a minor degree in Chemistry. After college, Dr. Krell worked for Riker Laboratories/3M Company as a pharmaceutical sales representative until 1983.
Seeking a higher education, he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he obtained a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Basic Sciences from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1987. Post-graduate training included a Fellowship in pediatric foot pathology and treatment, podiatric radiology and blood flow examination of the lower extremity. Dr. Krell’s residency training in foot and ankle surgery with strong influence in emergency room podiatric medicine and surgery was performed at the American International Hospital (now the Midwest Regional Medical Center) in Zion, Illinois.

Honors include being listed as a Phoenix Magazine “Top Doctor” for 2003, 2008, and he is referenced in the 2006 edition of the Consumers’ Research Council of America “Guide to America’s Top Podiatrists”.
➤Dr. Krell’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Arizona Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Krell is board certified and is a Diplomate in podiatric foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (DABPS). Dr. Krell is a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS).
Dr. Krell has written several podiatric journal articles that have been published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Jessica Prebish, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Jessica Prebish was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Northern Michigan University.
➤Dr. Prebish went on to complete her Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at Kaiser Permanente located in Northern California’s San Francisco Bay area. Her residency provided comprehensive training in generalized foot pathology, biomechanics, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, trauma and an added certificate in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
➤Dr. Prebish is an Associate of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and member of American Podiatric Medical Association. Her medical philosophy is to provide exceptional personalized care with honesty, integrity, and compassion. Dr. Prebish has comprehensive training in all facets of ankle and foot care (non-surgical and surgical). She is an avid runner and hence has particular interest in dance/sports injuries.
