Dr. Aprajita Nakra, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Aprajita Nakra is board certified in reconstructive ankle and foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She successfully finished a surgical residency program at Emory Hospital in Atlanta and began practicing podiatric ankle and foot medicine and surgery in Arizona in 2000.

In 2004, Dr. Nakra founded Advanced Ankle and Foot specializing in Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Medicine and Surgery located in Gilbert, AZ. Besides private practice, Dr. Nakra has authored chapters in ankle and foot surgery text books and in medical journals. She has also been listed in the Phoenix’s Best Docs List and more recently, was named as an editor of “McGlamry’s Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery, 4th edition.” Most recently, Dr. Nakra was selected as the newest Residency Director of St. Johns Episcopal Hospital New York – AZ Division.


Dr. Vu T. Nguyen DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Vu T. Nguyen is board certified in reconstructive ankle and foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Nguyen has comprehensive training in all facets of ankle and foot care (non-surgical and surgical), and has particular interest in foot and ankle trauma, reconstructions of foot and ankle deformities, and wound care. In addition to private practice, Dr. Nguyen is investing in the next generation of physicians and as such lectures to medical residents at local hospitals.


Dr. Bruce W. Krell, DPM, DABPS

Dr. Krell was born in Ohio and raised in Arizona. He attended Kachina Grade School and Arcadia High School. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Microbiology and a minor degree in Chemistry. After college, Dr. Krell worked for Riker Laboratories/3M Company as a pharmaceutical sales representative until 1983.

Seeking a higher education, he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he obtained a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Basic Sciences from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1987. Post-graduate training included a Fellowship in pediatric foot pathology and treatment, podiatric radiology and blood flow examination of the lower extremity. Dr. Krell’s residency training in foot and ankle surgery with strong influence in emergency room podiatric medicine and surgery was performed at the American International Hospital (now the Midwest Regional Medical Center) in Zion, Illinois.


Dr. Jessica Prebish, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Jessica Prebish was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Northern Michigan University.

➤Dr. Prebish went on to complete her Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at Kaiser Permanente located in Northern California’s San Francisco Bay area. Her residency provided comprehensive training in generalized foot pathology, biomechanics, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, trauma and an added certificate in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
